    Most of the villages are scattered around the hills and mountains. Serbia is a very rural area, like Montenegro, with wild nature, lots of cattle (espeially sheep and cows), shepherds, traditional lifestyle in villages...

    There are many old wooden houses like this, they are very typical, especially in the mountain area. Wooden cottages called KATUN are typical for high mountains where people take cattle to feed, and they are mostly summertime residences.
