Village Palic is on the bank of lake Palic and the nearest town is Subotica, just some 10km's away. Palic lake is very nice and popular spot, and has been that way for over hundred years. This is a place where you can have great rest, and yet if you like crowd it's the place to be. Palic becomes very sweet and vivid during 1st May hollidays. There is a big Fair on the bank and people from all over Serbia and many from Hungary come to celebrate Workers day here. The picture shows the water tower built in 1912. You can't miss it. You go straight under it, anfter about 200m's you are the lake. There is also a nice ZOO here. It is very popular and well known. The animals are not in cages but in "natural inhabitance". I am not so sure of that, but still it's nice to see them almost free.

Subotica is a town near hungarian border and it's architecture was greatly influenced by austrian. The reason for that is that Subotica has been under Austrian "foot' for centuries. It is very beautiful and colorful.
