Kopaonik Things to Do

  • Marko`s Rocks - Kind of Stonehenge

Marko`s rocks is the group of HUGE rocks that form together a kind of gates or caves, and seem just to be thrown down to a green lawn by some enormous giant. Really amazing, especially as there`s no other big rocks nearby. The way to Marko`s rocks is a romantic path through the wood, that goes downhill from the big parking lot area in front of the...

  • Picking blueberries

Blueberries grow wild on the high slopes of Kopaonik. It is fun to pick them as you go and eat (resulting in red and blue lips...).It is forbidden to pick them for industrial purposes (you will be amazed to see people who come with large containers and work hard to pick enormous amounts of blueberries... maybe this is "industrial purpose"? ;-)

  • Cable to the top

You must go to see the highest peak of Kopaonik, called Pancicev Vrh (Pancic's Peak), some 2100 meters above sea level.Take a ride on the cable-seats, for about 15 minutes, from Suncani Vrhovi to the peak, and enjoy the silence and views of Kopaonik.

  • Walking trips in the woods

The woods around Kopaonik are impressive (particularly to us who come from a barren land). Take a trip in the woods and enjoy the wild fauna and fresh frisky air.I recommend taking a trip from a bend of the road up to Srebrnac. You will recognize it by a lowered bar at the entrance to the wood, preventing cars from entering too.Go to the "Geyser",...

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

We were two times at KOpaonik with my friends. We were at some excursion, soo all we were doing was sitting in cafees and talking .
Near these cafees there are some Night clubs. I forgot they names but in each was great. The only problem at Kopaonik is that the prices are much more higher than in other parts of Serbia , so you have to prepare yourself on that !

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Miscellaneous: when visiting kopaonik by car, pack as much bottled water as possible. you cant drink the water from the taps, so you have to buy bottled water and its more expensive than usual as it has to be transported to the top of the mountain.

  • Renting ski equipment

If you don't have gear of your own, DON'T WORRY!!! You can rent it everywhere! Just be careful about prices! They vary so much. But, where ever you decide to rent, the more people (and for more days) are in group, prices go down.

  • Swimming and gym

If you are thinking of using swimming pool or gym on Kopaonik, you should know that pools are ONLY in Hotel Grand, and Club A (smaller one). So if you are not in one of the hotels, you'll be charged about 6e - Club A , or 10e - Grand for one use. Gym is in Grand.
