I have been here two days and I thought also that it should be much different, but I have only met nice and friendly people on both sides. Everybody is very curious what I am doing here. It is really nice and I recommend you to visit it. The people enjoy talking even that many dont have the knowledge of good English.
This is a divided city between two different people, ethnic groups, serbs on the north part of Kosovo Mitrovica and the Albanians in the south. Then it is also two different currencies here. On the Serbin part you can buy and pay with dinarer and on the Albanian side you use euros. They dont have any own currency for the moment (may 2011), but maybe in the future. Bring both.
