Jatare (read Yatare) is just 1 stop along the Shargan Eight path. It's got a small restaurant where you can buy ice cream as well.

The 1st thing you'll notice the minute you step out of the train is the waterfall. And, if you go 88 steps up, you'll have a beautiful view over the surrounding nature.

On the top of Mecavnik Hill, right above Mokra Gora railway station, there's this unique ethno village created by world famous director Emir Kusturica. It's called Wooden Town (Drven Grad) because it consists of wooden buildings, typical for the mountain villages of Tara and Zlatibor. Even the road of this magical town is wooden.

The town has its own cinema, library, gallery, souvenir shop, church, traditional restaurant and coffee shop, but there's still a lot to be done.

Ticket price:
100 din per person

The Šargan Eight (Šarganska Osmica) is probably the most attractive tourist-museum railways in Europe. It has an unusual path line resembling the number 8.

The famous 'Eight', 13.5km long, with 22 tunnels and 10 bridges and viaducts, used to connect Belgrade with Sarajevo and Dubrovnik. The 1st train steamed up to this railway in 1925.

Get on the train and step back into the past! The journey will last about 2 hours and during that time you'll be able to listen to the history of the place in Serbian and English and hum to the sounds of famous Serbian folk songs from the speakers.

Ticket price (Nov. 2005):
Adults: 500 din
Children: 250 din

Composition capacity is 150 places.
