Near the village there is a monument as a memorial to the battle from the WWII, where a small group of partisans defeated multiply numerous Germans. My grandfather took part in this battle, it actually happened on his birthday. :-)
It is called "bitka kod Dvora (the battle at the castle)" because there used to be a small castle 8more like villa) nearby.
The place has the old communist flavour, the monument is with red star, so for those who are interested in this stuff, this is the place.
However, beware of mines! Since it is on Croatian border, there are minefields with unbdug mines from the latest war in the 90's, so don't wander off uncautiously!

Take a stroll by the river Bosut in the village of Morović, it's beautiful!
You'll find lots of fishermen, geese, locals with goats, an old train...

As a part of the resort there is also a restaurant. It offers dishes made of wild animals (wild boar, deer, etc.) - since this is a paradise for hunters (I'm deeply disgusted as I write this!) but it also offers other national cuisine dishes.
