When you enter the city from the Varadinski Bridge, on your left, you'll come upon the Workers' House (Radnicki dom) with the statue of a worker (radnik) at the front.
The building was built in 1913 by the project of Dragiša Brašovan, whereas the statue was carved by Toma Roksandic and placed here in 1946.
In Serbia, on 22nd of March, The Holy Ortodox Church, celebrates the holiday 'Mladenci'. On that day relatives and friends visit couples who have married in last 365 days. For the guests, spouse makes 40 round skim dough cakes called 'mladencici'.
I have a problem here, no translation in English for the word 'mladenci'. The closer translation is a 'bride and groom'. So this is the 'BRIDE AND GROOM SQUARE' in Novi sad where wedding office is situated. Happy square, a new life square, the square of love.
