The boarding passes issued by Austrian Airlines in Pristina are not recognized in Vienna International Airport. As such, you have to visit Service Center #2 in Vienna to get your boarding pass reissued upon arrival in Vienna. This is a pretty straight-forward process, but is required.

If you are lucky, you can find very cheap tickets to fly to and from prishtina using our national company Kosova Airlines. For the moment (they are still consolidating the airline) are available flight connecting to Switzerland and Germany. Website is www.flyksa.com and you can book and pay tickets online.
the other option is germanwings.com also offering cheaper tickets.

Getting in and out of Kosovo is easy (legally of course).
There are several airlines operating daily or weekly flights out of Pristina to major European cities such as Vienna, London, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Istanbul.
If you need a good travel agent in Pristina, I highly recommend the girls at Altavia Travel across from KPS Police Station #1. They are friendly, helpful, and speak excellent English :) Their website, link included, shows all the specials to Europe, Asia, and the US that are currently being offered by the different airlines.
You can also take the short jaunt down to Skopje for some cheaper flights if cost or time is an issue although crossing the border in the morning before a flight carries the potential for trouble.

Pristina International (Slatina) is just a small airport located roughly 15-20 km from the town. You better arrange patient pick-up because in case of traffic jams it can take up to 45 minutes to get to Pristina . On the way, you'll experience 'lovely' sights of Kosovo Polje, industrial zone in making, UNMIK and KPC HQs and the infamous Bill Clinton boulevard.

Going to Prisitna, two main ways, coming through Pristina airport.... You should arrange with your travel agancy.
The other way is to come via Macadonia, Skopi airport and then you have to come by bus or you can rent a car from Skopi (if you are coming in short term)
Hard question, but may be you can rent a car from Skopi or even from Pristina

There is few ways to get in here:
1. By air - there is an airport in Pristina.
2. By bus - from Macedonia (if the border is open.., from the bus station in Skopie there is few buses); from Serbia, trough Merdare, for example from Nis, there are few buses also, but they are old and very uncomfortable (well, at least something...);
from Montenegro, from Albania (this one I didn't recommend you, the road there is...)

There are offical buses, private buses and vans. This is the #4 bus I think that runs up the hill from the university. The fare was 40 euro cents.

It is not uncommon to see a horse & cart on the main road from Skopje to Pristina. Somehow the various forms of transportation manage to share the 2 lane road.

I've always travelled to Pristina in a private car, although there is direct bus service from Skopje. The drive is unpredictable sa you never know exactly what will be sharing the road with you. Here it is some military vehicles.
