You can visit 3308 restaurants in Belgrade: Italian, French, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Indian...but, you MUST visit Serbian traditional restaurants: Jevrem, Old Serbian house, Vidovdan, Ada Safari, , Znak pitanja, Bajka, Mlinarev san, Salas...My favorite is national restaurants MIKAN. Also, you can enjoy the authentic atmosphere, ethno-ambient and very good music. You must try Serbian food, our specialties : pasulj, cevapi, sarmice, pecenje ispod saca and drink the most famoust Serbian brandy named slivovica. Serbian traditional food

On the route from Sarajevo to Belgrade, the buslines has a favorite place to stop on the Serbian side. It's a cheap restaurant, about one hour after the border, right in the middle of a rural district. I don't know the name of the place. Big hamburger

Serbians love their food and although meat takes the majority of the serbian table there is still room for a passion about fish and seafood. served here in this quayside fish restaurant offering traditional music and some turbo - folk you get a great atmosphere with many locals and less tourists (unless they are in the know). I had the local wild trout wich is different from the rainbow trout or farmed. I really enjoyed this. All the food we were served was fanstastic and we loved it. great value for money for a visitor and a bit of a treat if you are a local.

This is just another great place to go and eat around Skardarska since the street is full of restaurants,cafe/bars and a lively crowd that loves to be out. Again we are offered great selection of dishes and live music to be entertained throughout the evening. take a look and choose from an extensive menu (also in English).

With it great selection of restaurants and bar and entertainment here set in the popular Skardarska street in the Skandarlija district it is one of the oldest around. we can enjoy a good meal from a varied menu with some classic Serbian dishes on it. There is also live music to help you burn off a few calories or just have another glass :-) When you come here "Go Native" and experience a meat dish from a great selection. local snitzel stuffed with kaymak (type of cheese) or a meat mezze.

SALAS: Absolutely perfect National restaurant

Restaurant is in old part of Belgrade- area Zemun Gardoš - by the river Danube. Terace with the view to rivers Danube and Sava and the whole town, the view is unique! There is an old tower near by. The food and wines are perfect. Restaurant is rated as one of the best in Belgrade.

Christmas Eve Dinner

Well some orthodox people fast during 6 week fast before Christmas ( we celebrate Christmas on Jan 7th) Now, fasting here means NO meat ( any kind , except fish sometimes), milk, eggs etc . Fasting stops on Jan 7th. So Christmas eve dinner mostly looks like this ... Hmm , what do we have here? All kinds of fruits, some fish , nuts, beans, and various pies ...
