Stari Slankamen Travel Guide

Don't you think that this is the most peaceful area? I love to be near Danube and just enjoy the nature such as lizards, fish and mosquitos LOL :))

The only one near the parking lot and you can feel the local atmophere there. All of the people drinking there are from Novi or Stari Slankamen and sometimes there are some foreigners :) who ran away from the city. You can drink or eat there in nice place with a view on Danube river.

Favorite Dish: Try specialities such as fish :) fried "som" is unique

There is a little island on Danube near to the bank and in the summer you can see there tons of domestic animals grazing... I was smiled when heard about the reason. People used this island as a "grazing kindergarden" because animals cannot run away from the island and there is no danger for them. Once a day the owners sail there to milk goats and then come back. :) Really funny and unique idea how to save money there is no need to hire shepherds :)

Time to time there are changes of the river level so be careful when parking. Should happen that your wheels end in mud. :)
