The church is closed most of the time, but there are certain times of the week when you can find someone there to show you around. Ask a local for times.
The Balnear Hotel/mineral baths complex is difficult to miss at the higher end of the village. It is signposted from the main Medias-Tarnaveni road, in the village of Blajel.
Favorite Dish: The restaurant next to the hotel offers a range of traditional Romanian dishes, including freshwater fish such as pike and trout caught locally. It is one of the best restaurants in the area.
There are a couple of works buses a day to and from Bazna from Blajel on the Medias-Tarnaveni road, but if you miss these you're stuck so you're better off using private transport if you can find it. Be wary about using a bike as there are some farms nearby with crazy dogs. You're best off with a car, although you can get a taxi from either Medias or Tarnaveni this will be expensive and you might have problems getting one to come and collect you for the return journey.
Favorite thing: The locals are generally friendly and helpful. there are a few bars scattered throughout the town and it is easy to find someone who can tell you a little about the history of the village.
