 codrutz Says:  Near the door there is a panel which holds a sample of the traditional romanian wear for this region. 

 codrutz Says:  In this kind of chests the families used to keep the valuables which were supposed to become the bride's "belongings" when to marry .. I don't know exactly the enghlish term for that :) 

 codrutz Says:  Notice the small door. I always wonder why they made back then the doors just over 1m .. and I found the answer here - maybe you knew it too: They did not have central heating, so the smaller the door, the smaller the heat that was lost .. That's true :)In the picture you... 

 codrutz Says:  There is the space where the remain of the old chimney can be seen. One can see the traditional pottery from various parts of the country. 

 codrutz Says:  One of the three bells inside the main tower. Tourist are kindly asked not to ring the bells or the whole village will think it's something wrong ,) 

 codrutz Says:  From the top of the bell tower you can see the village of calnic. One nice feature is that the net that protects the sides has a round opening in each side allowing tourists to take clear shots. 

 codrutz Says:  Highest fortified tower which helds three bells. Tourists are invited to climb the small wooden staircase inside to have a view over the village of Calnic. 

 codrutz Says:  The courtyard is very sunny and the grass is nicely maintained by the curators of this monument 

 codrutz Says:  You can notice the current arangement of the chapel's interior. The inscription above is not in romanian language but in old germanic (saxonian). 

 codrutz Says:  The former chapel, which is not quite big, now is organized for small conferences and baroque music concerts.
