    Dosoftei

by jorgejuansanchez Written Mar 22, 2015

This was a very beautiful and lovely building, the residence of Dimitrie Barilă, better known under his monastical name Dosoftei, who was a Moldavian Metropolitan, scholar, poet and translator of the XVII century.
A statue devoted to him is next door.

    Palace of Culture

by jorgejuansanchez Written Mar 22, 2015

Although is not a very old building (it dates form the beginning of the XX century) it is very impossing and nice.
I spent half an hour there while looking for a hotel.

Strolling along Blvd Stefan cel Mare

by frockland Updated Sep 10, 2002

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Blvd Stefan cel Mare is closed for cars on weekends. So plenty of people stroll along. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful.

Fondest memory: Sitting outside of one of the churches listening to the singing and the prayers.
