Though there are no hotels in Rosia Montana, feel free to ask for the help of local people. Houses with the mark 'Drumul Aurului – The Golden Way' serve visitors with accomodation and food. The hospitality and kindness of local people – the Rosieni – would be one of your nicest memories. And you will also be provided with an insight to the rural life of Romanian farmers living in the mountains. My favourite memory from the days spent in Rosia Montana is when we walked down from the mountains to our host's house in the night leaded by our landlord's family, and the cattle in the yard woke up... 'Mew'-s from all around greeted us in the misty night!
