There is nothing special about this restaurant, but it does get crowded at night. Most of the people here just drink. It is a good meeting place as it is easy to find, just a half-block from the city center.

If you just came from Turkey, Mado may not be the best place to go. But the eatery along Strada Republicii, a few steps from the center of Brasov, has some really good Turkish food. For meat lovers, order the mixed grill or the Iskender kebab. The pita bread is fresh and delicious. Mado has many non-Turkish items on the menu, including pizza and ice cream. Tables are set up in front of the restaurant during warm weather.

Formula Pub is a great place for many reasons. It is located in what used to be a wine cellar. You can either sit at the bar and watch European football matches or relax in solitude at one of its many tables.
Conversely, Formula Pub is large enough that you can be as loud as you want and probably not bother any of the other patrons. For being a pub, the food is exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the pasta and its homemade soups.

Bella Muzica provides tourists and locals with a romantic dining experience in the center of Brasov. Don't worry if you're there with your buddies.
The restaurant was once a wine cellar, which adds to its ambience. Customers can choose the music played while they eat. The menu offers something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the steak fajitas. I spent about five months in Romania and there were times when I craved Mexican food, which is hard to find in Eastern Europe. Fortunately, Bella Muzica was able to satisfy my cravings. Each meal comes with a shot of palinca, Romania's favorite type of fire water.

Here Eddie enjoying his gulash, we taste everything thanks to the excellent service we had from the staf. The meal was excellent or more than that, local dishes, starters, deserts....great beer of course..
When we sat down the waiter talked us about which sort of music we want to listen to, yes we could choose from a music menu .
The place sounds very well, cosy and trendy and i guess some expensive for locals. People were clad in good clothes, meanwhile we wear quite shaggy and at all trimmed after a long day travelling and treadding the streets
We just paid 12? each when we could pay easily in Canda or Barcelona 40? each ..so was the greatest point !!

Do start in the morning with a good tasting capuccino at the restaurant of the Sport Hotel. You will come again in the afternoon for lunch and again in the evening for dinner :) This restaurant as well as the hotel is owned by George Copos, a business man and also vice - prime minister of Romania. He has more hotels, restaurant, pastry shops and the footbal team "Rapid" in Bucharest. The waiters are very well trained, and very important the food is perfect, whatever you will choose from the menu. Another great thing is that you will find in the menu also decent priced meals and also fancy ones if you need to show off :)
Favorite Dish: My favourite cake which I always have there is the "Ana" cake - see next picture (!) - you should definitely try it out. Then the sour soups and of course the main meals from grilled chicken, pork or veal.

Good value and very nice. The town square at Brasov is full of lovley
pavement cafe's. Sadly it also has them awful Irish and Scottish pubs
that sour most cities around the world. Who wants to travel around the
world to get burger and chips and a stale pint, aint that why we travel to
escape such things. Beer was around 50p a pint a meal £3.

Our guide was feverishly trying to arrange for a lunch somewhere near Brasov to compensate for one that we missed in Bucharest. I don't know what the hang up was since he was talking in Romanian but finally we said we would much rather just stop for pizza and he said I know just the place.
Favorite Dish: Our guide ordered pasta instead of pizza, I have to say his Carbonara looked mighty tasty and he finished every last morsel.
I ordered a Dracula pizza, salami with chili but found the chili powder was applied a bit too liberally for me so David gallantly ate it and let me have a couple of slices of his. His pizza violated all kinds of Chicago pizza laws (corn and tuna are NOT pizza toppings!!!), but instead of combining the ingredients all over the pizza each section had a different topping. I grabbed for the ham slices and left him with the corn, the tuna having been left off at his request.
