The best spot to see Cluj-Napoca from above is the 60 m high Fortress Hill (Dealul Cetatuia). The hill used to be home to an Austrian fortress, dating back to the middle of the 18th century. Nowadays the hill is dominated by the 4-star Belvedere Hotel and a 26 m tall "Eroilor Neamului" cross. Directions: The Fortress Hill is located north of the old town, just across the river Somesul Mic. A stairway leads from the Str. Dragalina up to the top of thr hill. Leave a Comment

by DPando This spot is the most attractive or one of the most in the wholle city... surrounded by nice trees and a garden it gets a small but cosy palace that it should be open in summer (not in october when i was there) and should be a restaurant or a picnic spot... its in the east part of the city closer to the center and side by side to the river..by the way not much trimmed!!! And it's available in Romanian, English, Hungarian, Italian, French and quite a few more. Hope it helps!
