In this zone gather hundreds of seagulls because it's safe from the waves . From the Tabacariei Lake starts a narrow channel and sometimes it's made a flood control (throught the abduction of the dam ). That moment the little fishes from the lake proceed in the channel and than in the sea . Baby seagulls are served as in a canteen . It's interesting that adult seagulls don't stay with the little ones and let them take advantage of this fact .

1st November was a very beautiful day : 20 degrees , sunny , a nice breeze !Now it's time for us , local people , to enjoy our wonderful sea . Of course one of us exaggerate making bath in the frozen water !Probable it's something "cool" ... and I don't understand .

Walking (or running ) along the seashore early in the morning or late at night, laying in the sun ( but not until you burned your skin ) , swimming as much as it allowed are the most enjoyable things that everybody can make here on the Black Sea Coast of Romania !

Mamaia is a very popular and clean and neat international holiday resort by the Romanian Black Sea coast. It has some 7-8 kms of beachline and many kms of the beach boulevard to walk - or to travel by the cable car watching the beach life and the beatiful landscape from the bird perspective.

You can find different beach areas, named in different ways, suitable for many tastes. On the beach boulevard there are plenty of clothes shops, shoe shops and restaurants.

There is also evening life in Mamaia; there are a couple of popular discos; at least one big 3-storey withour walls (nice at summertime). You may see Romanian sailors as the nearby Constanta is a very big harbour city.
