By car, because the Bucharest-Iasi highroad hs been recently upgraded to 2 lanes on each side.
Still, it is not a european standard highway at all.
As long as you stay in the center of the city, by foot.When in the residential neighbourhoods, use trams and buses.

Pay attention if you are in Iasi on 22nd of September, the city is a part of European program against pollution, so in the entire area of city center is forbidden to use all vehicles except electric engine. This year is the 3 Th when Iasi is the beneficiary of this program from 8 am till 6-7 p.m. It’s a little strange when you could walk on every center street without car fear.
