Balin Trans has buses connecting with Wizzair flights. Departures are made from the center of the town, Piaþa Trandafirilor, near the Orthdox Cathedral and Tarom Agency at the City bus stop, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 11.30, with intermediate stops at OMV station near train station, bus Station and Airport. Tarom Claims they don´t know about the bus, actual departure time was 11.55 with only 2 minutes stop, Lei 7 (€ 1,60)
Return from the Airport around 14:30, depending on landing time of Wizzair.
Times are given only on the romanian website

Although Targu Mures has a train station, it's best to travel to Sighisoara by bus. We walked from our hotel to the Voiajor autogara only to find out that there are only two buses a day leaving from there (at 14.30 and at 23.30). Since the wait would have been almost 2 hours, we decided to check out the Autogara Siletina on Bega St. as there was supposed to be an earlier bus. Once at Siletina station we went to the information window and were told that there are no buses from there to Sighisoara (contrary to the information on the internet) but that we had to walk 500 m to Autogara TAM.
After a long walk circling almost the whole industral area we thought that they must have sent us back to Voiajor but eventually we found the small Autogara TAM at the end of Bega street just near the Budiului street. This bus station is not on the city map. So finally we got a bus there to Sighisoara which cost RON 11 (about 2.50 Euro) per person and took around 1,25 hours.
Some people arrived at this TAM bus station by taxi. There is a bus stop on B-dul 1 Decembrie 1918 but I wouldn't recommend it as the bus will be already full by the time it arrives there and trust me, you want to have a seat in this minibus and not stand like a sardine.
On the website below you may check the timetable for the date you want. Plecare (enter departure town), Sosire (arrival town)
From TAM bus station there are also buses to Bahnea, Sg. de Padure and Sovata.
During our visit I wrote down the timetable for Sighisoara but please recheck before using:

Since we hadn't prebooked any transport from the airport into town, we were pleased to see a minibus waiting there in front of the terminal. It seemed that you could prebook this transfer with Wizzair, but we were able to use the bus as well by paying RON 7 (less than 2 Euro). We got a ticket for that amount. I noticed that some locals didn't get a ticket. You need to pay in Lei, no Euro accepted. One guy had to go and exchange some money.
The bus stops by the official local bus stops for the Voiajor autogara (in case you want to continue your journey by long distance bus) or near the railway station. This you must tell the driver beforehand (he only spoke Romanian but there were helpful fellow travellers) and finally we got off at Piata Trandafirilor, the main square in town, where our hotel was located.

We flew from Dortmund to Targu Mures by Wizzair. Wizzair is a Hungarian budget airline connecting Western Europe with a lot of destinations in Eastern Europe, usually using smaller airports.
We booked our flight online and travelled with hand luggage only for the long weekend. As we did the online check-in ourselves we saved a further fee. On board you can buy drinks and snacks.
We have used this airlines several times already and never encountered any problems.
Handluggage is 55 x 40 x 20 cm with a maximum of 10 kg (one piece only and this is strictly enforced which means you need to put your handbag in your one piece of hand luggage for the flight). Once in Vilnius we witnessed that someone with a trolley which was only 5 mm too thick had to be checked in at the gate at a horrendous fee of over 50 Euro. So plan accordingly and check the current regulations before your flight.
The arrival area is very small and there was no ATM. In the other terminal there is a money exchange but since we didn't check out the other terminal I don't know whether there is also an ATM.
