It was founded in 1980 and stores precious collections of painting, graphic, sculpture and tapestry, signed by famous, Romanian artists: Lascar Viorel, Aurel Baesu, C.D. Stahi, Ion Tuculescu, Nicolae Tonitza, Iulia Halaucescu, Aurelia Ghiata, and Pompiliu Clement.
Periodically, museum's rooms are the hosts of temporary exhibitions, romaian or from abroad.

The tower of Stephen the Great, with 19 m high, has been raised in 1499, with the role of belfry, observer, and defence; in XIXth century, it has been added the lookout tower with clock.
The tower is representative for Piatra Neamt, becoming a part in the city symbol.

The Church Sf. Ioan Botezatorul (John the Baptist) has a very good condition even if it was erected in 1497-1498, and now is among the most valuable monuments of the country.
The whole construction gives out equilibrium and elegance, these ones being reinforced by the clever system for attenuation of the vaults pressure and by richness of the external decorations made of polychrome enamelled ceramics.

The long existence through history gave to this town a high value heritage of historical and artistically monuments.
Curtea Domneasca was founded between 1468 and 1475 and was firstly mentioned in a document from April 20, 1491.
Ceremonies were held until de 17th century when it is abandoned and the construction began to fall to ruin.
Today we have only fragments of the precincts wall and a part of the basement, all arranged for museum purposes.

this one is one of my favourite places in the city. The people living in this block have the entire mountain in the back yard! I mean, imagine yourself, waking up in the mornig, in the middle of the city, drinkin' coffee on the balcony in the forrest!!

"Mount Ceahlau's Day" better be seen, than local annual "Yorick" theatre festival, and if i'll found out more i'll keep you posted. BTW, "Yorick" just finnished and the Roman's team of amateure artists (my dad is one of them) won Third Place in this contest. Cheers for them!

An angel with leafy wings is the emblem of the Youth Theatre of Piatra Neamt. There it can be watched some contemporan theatre shows.
