If you happen to be in Ploiesti, be aware of the street children who usually congregate in the center of town. The children are usually harmless, but I once witnessed a group of pre-teens beating up a homeless man sitting on a park bench next to me. To make matters worse, people did not do anything to help this individual. I am always on guard when I see a group of "homeless" children hanging around me.

Just be aware that the weather conditions can make dsriving around virtually impossible. For example, fog, heavy rain and thick snow like you have never imagined. Stormy weather can be a problem out in romania too...just make sure your not hanging aroud when those bolts of lightening crash down!
Be aware of stray dogs too they could carry diseases or be vicious...remember these dogs are stray so could have a very bad temperament.
