Luggage and bags: In Sibiu, you don't need more than good shoes and a city map.
And don't forget that people here are very polite, or at least they are trying hard to be.
Help them, being at least as polite as they are ;)
Photo Equipment: A good camera is a MUST in Sibiu, especially for the old architecture lovers. Our photos will help you understand why I am saying so.
Miscellaneous: Don't forget to prepare the "to do" list before your trip here, especially if you don’t have enough time to discover them.
Otherwise you'll feel (like us) that you lost a lot of interesting places.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: You should consider that only from July to September you can wear thin clothes. In the rest of the year is pretty cool and you have to take with you warm clothes.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Take your favourite anti-headache drugs with you so you don't have to stay in queque for the still few pharmacies in Sibiu.
Photo Equipment: Must take your camera with you. You can buy films almost anywhere in town. Also, on the main street there are a lot of photo stores with cheap prices.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: No beach in this city :) But you can take your swimwear in the summer because you HAVE to go to the Salt City at Ocna Sibiului where you'll have a bath in the most salted lake in Europe.

Why don't I have time enough to know Sibiu better?
We have been here many years ago for few hours and we have intended now to see more... unfortunately without success. I feel that we haven't prepared enough this trip so… we have to go there again…......

Sibiu has been selected as the European Cultural Capital for 2007 so I'm sure that is a lovely historic place. The problem, of course, is that I visited Sibiu in 2005 when they were preparing for this...
