Russenart: thousands of years of history
The most interesting town, in fact, the truth cultural and historical capital of the countryside of Teleorman is Russenart (actually, named Rosiori de Vede), which was mentioned since ancient times, being marked even on Ptolomeu 's map, as Pinum town. Since 1385, Russenart did participate to many important events of the Romanian history and was the most prosperous economical, cultural, administrative, commercial and religious center of Teleorman, recognized also by many local interesting customs and by the spiritual life of its inhabitants.
