It's situated in a really small park.
Was created by Italian sculptor Raffaello Romanelli in 1907, in memory of Corporal Tudorică Nicolae, who died in Independence War. You can see next to the statue, on both sides two guns (hope this is the good word) captured by Romanians from Turkish at Plevna.

It's the biggest park from the city, but is small for those who had travel. It's quite nice I would say.. It was, years ago an private domain and you can still see the house of the owner-now renovated.
It's named "Grădina Publică"-"public garden", and the main point is the monument created in the memory of Romanian soldiers that died defending our country in the War of Independence between 1877-1878. The monument was made in 1985.

The major tourist attraction is Saint Haralambios Cathedral in the center of the town. Built by Greek farmers at the beginning of the 20th century, the cathedral is based on the plans of Curtea de Argeş Cathedral and constructed in a late renaissance style.
Another city landmark is the independence monument. It was built in celebration of the major role that Turnu Măgurele played in the Romanian Independence War (1877-1878).
