Komodo Lounge is probably Timisoara's nicest club. It's quite a big place with an Asian theme, decorated with Buddha statues and very comfy sofas, perfect for a cappuccino in the afternoon or a cocktail at night. Their Mojitos (10 lei) are excellent. Despite its rather chic, upmarket ambiance it's not a pretentious place. They have DJs at night, music was mainstream techno and house.
Dress Code: Don't think there's a dress code, i got in with jeans and trainers on a Friday night

This bar is in the student complex (Complexul Studentesc). It's very popular with university students. Sometimes there are also high school kids that get in because no one is carded at the door. There are usually a few people in their 30s as well. They have a bar/cafe outside. During the day only the outside terrace is open. In the winter it's closed in with windows. They have cheap beer on tap outside. Inside, it's only in bottles. There are 2 small dance areas inside. There's no cover fee (which is why students like it). For places in the complex, it's probably one of the most popular. Next door is the "Happy Club" which is a lot smokier but slightly cheaper. Guliver is better in my opinion. Unfortunately it's usually a bit packed inside and a bit smoky but not bad.
Dress Code: No dress code, but dress lightly. It gets a bit hot inside even with the air conditioners running at full. But fortunately you can easily step outside for a while and then come back in (if you left someone at your table to stop another group of people from taking it). The women here are usually VERY lightly dressed. I suppose the overheat very easily. :)

Even if you only walk in the city by night and do nothing else and you will still enjoy it! Look how beautiful the central square is!
I would recomend for nightlife the Student's Camp (there is a streap-tease club with male streapers too, also some halls with pool and games and lot pg good pubs and of course the best disco in town, Park Place), but also the Lugojului and Aradului quarters where you can find most of the streap-tease clubs.
A good casino is just in front of the Continental Hotel and it is called Cezar.
Don't forget about the jazz clubs. One of the best you find under the bridge which connects the Victory square with Maria square.
Enjoy!
Dress Code: Usually Romanians dress up elegantly and the women of course combine it with a sexy look. You are not allowed to enter the disco and the clubs in an unproper outfit (e.g.: short trousers for men)
