This romanic church is just a few minuts of walking from the centre but I found it totally ignored by tourists. To get there leave the cathedral of Victory square on your right and just go streaight on, cross the bridge and keep going untill you arrive in Balcescu square. I could not find so many information about this church, the lady at tourism officfe could just tell me it was built at the beginning of 20 century.

Timisoara is a beautiful city, but there are a few times during the year when it just looks incredible.
In spring, the magnolias on both sides of the Bega river blossom. During summer it gets hot, but the Rose Park is a perfect place to take a break. Fall is great for those who love to wander around the old streets. If you manage to arrive in the city during winter and while there's snow - you will be amazed. However, snow doesn't last long around here.
No matter which time of the year you pass by, if there is a festival going on you should give it a try. To find out what's going out in the city visit the Tourist Information Office (you can find it on Alba Iulia street - the little street linking Victory Square and Liberty Square).

Caransebes (see Travelogue) and Baia Herculane are two great locations you can easily get to from Timsoara. Caransebes can be seen in a day, but Herculane needs 2 or 3.
