The soviet build Ilyushin Il-18 from Tarom - Romanian airtransport took me from Oslo to Constanta, Romania. A noisy, slow, but interesting experience.

I didn't try it, but if you like you can go around in Mamaia with horse and carriage.

Taking a taxi in Mamaia is a smoth way to getting around. I took the taxi only once, and that was to the nearby town Constanta. It costed about 250.000 LEI, and I found out later that I payed to much. A more normal price should have been around 140.000 LEI.
100.000 LEI = 25 SEK = $3.25

A more cheap way instead of the taxi, to getting around in Mamaia, or to visit the town Constanta is to take the bus. One way ticket costed around 15.000 LEI.
10.000 LEI = 2.5 SEK = $0.33

The buses are really modern and an easy way to travel in Mamaia. There goes plenty of them every hour to and from Constanta.

Mamaia is a nice resort with plenty of hotels and restaurants, and of course a very long and clean beach next to the Black Sea. A lot of Romanian people goes here during their summer holiday as well...
