    You must go there!. Not far from the center of the small village, near the river, there is a wonderful new church. When it will be finished it will be the higher in Maramures. Is something great, because you can have a look to the secrets of the construction!!.

    a huge steam locomotives cemetery....
    stands 100m from the right side of the road,leaving sapinta to the east,in the centre of a village called:"viseu de jos"

    Favorite thing: because of sculptor ion stan patras (1909-1977) sapinta's inhabitants enjoy a colorful cemetery,a greensward full of wild flowers.

    all the graves painted in a deep blue,sometimes washed out by rains and weather...

    Fondest memory: on each grave,defunct's main features,as a picture book:smoking a pipe,milking a cow,etc....
