The museum of Tasnad is located in the former Catle of Cserey-Fischer that was built in 1771. It fuctions as a museum since 1978. The museum presents exhibits that shows the history of Tasnad.
Tasnad has a really beautiful main street with a museum, some shops, restaurants and some classic buildings. In addition, 3 of the towns most famous churchs are located over there.
One of my favorite sights in Tasnad is the old Town Hall. The city has lack in classical monuments so the small Town Hall, that located at the crossroads of the citiies main streets is a real attraction.
"Cafe River" is actually a chain of bars that operates in the region. You can have there a short stop for a drink... not more. The bar also sells gums and cigarettes.
The real good bars are located at the Strand, at the lower part of the town.
Around the main strret of Tasnad there are 2 parks. One is located at the middle of the street and called the named as the "Lower Garden" (the city is built on hiols, the main street is a great example for it). The second one is called "Pompierilor Park" and is located up the main street, just near the historic Protestant church. In that park there is also a monument for the Romanian soldiers that fought in WWII.
Both are places where you can relax a bit.
The most famous place in Tasnad is the Strand. The town was always known for its therapien water, so at the plane under the towns center had been built a "Strand" that is a bunch of pools, in some of them there is termal water and some are regular.
During the past years the place been updgraded and many bars and pubs were built around the Strand. Nowdays its one of the favotrite sites for the towns youth and for the partygoers of the region.
The Strand can get very crowded in the summer, especiually during the "City Days" festival.
