Oradea is the city, on which we first would step, as we arrive to Romania, through the land frontier Bors. It is a beautiful Transylvanian city, with an old past, beginning in the 12th century. Borsec is a Transilvanian Station, where the mineral water springs are there. I found that this mineral water is the best of Romania; this is my opinion. The landscape here, in this region, is magnificent. The many forest and freshwater springs create a whole fresh air atmosphere. The several villas were constructed many years ago, and now they are unfortunately in a bad condition. This station is a pearl of the Transylvanian mountains, and a modernization of it is necessary. I hope that this rebuilding will be possible in the next time. Leave a Comment

The city has 95000 inhabitants. An important objective in Tulcea is the Museum of the Danube Delta. Galati is a harbour on the left shore of the Danube. This is a modern city, with lots of new edifices, large boulevards and elegant restaurants, but also an aged place with lindens avenues, old houses, numerous quietly parks, and a wonderful walk way on the shore of the great flow. In the city there is a precious church, named “Precista”, founded by the prince Vasile Lupu, an important religious edifice with art, architecture, history and spiritual importance. Galati is also the hometown of the musician Iosif Ivanovic that composed the famous waltz “The boat on the waves”. This waltz is the symbol of the old Danube port. In Galati, on the shore of the Danube, there is the famous Danube Tower, with its restaurant-bar with view on the whole region. I don't know whether the restaurant is open in present, but I know that it was closed, at the finishes the eighties. In Galati, there is not any bridge over the Danube. The single possibility here, into this area to traverse the Danube, is the ferryboat (Bac). With the ship, go the people over the great flow, pedestrian or with the cars or with big transporters. On the opposite shore of the Danube is the Tulcea County. Leave a Comment
