This Yak - 28L ("Lotus") is established in Barnaul on territories of former Barnaul Maximum Military Aviation School of Pilots. It is established in the end 70th years. Now in this territory there is a legal institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The plane is registered as a monument in 1998, that would be to hand over to nobody of temptation it on scrap metal - "is protected by the state".
This is a favourite place with the locals to come and watch what is going on on the river Ob. From here also leave the boats to the nearby villages of Bobrovka, Passkasicha and Kokuiskoe. There is a timetable on the the wall by the cashier. There is also a fun cruise with music on certain dates and times which costs 40 rubles and takes 60 or 90 minutes.
This museum is very old and was first opened in 1823. It has a variety of exhibits like old artifacts and all kinds of stones found in the region, a section on Soviet achievments and stuffed animals of the region. It also explains where the original population came from. Unfortunately, all is in Russian only.
Entry fee was 15 rubles. Time needed 30-60 minutes.
