Arbat Street, Chelyabinsk by Gwynethart Stroll down Arbat Street, lined with trees, lamps of cast iron and lots of benches make the street cosy and comfortable. There are clothing shops, bookstores, a photo gallery, and jewelry shops. There's even an Irish Pub! (I didn't go inside, so I don't know the story there...) I was lucky enough to join my friend and her work colleagues for a weekend hiking trip in the Ural Mountains. We stayed in a very small and rural town called Zuratcul (not sure of correct spelling). Directions: Zuratcul is located roughly halfway between cities of Chelyabinsk and Ufa. It is just south of M5 Highway on the European side of the Ural Mountains.

Kirovka is a pedestrian street which runs through the center of the city and leads to Revolution Square. The street is lined with numerous whimsical statues which are excellent places for taking photos. There are many shops and cafes and restaurants of every kind along the street. There are many benches along the street as well where one can sit and enjoy a refreshing drink or ice cream while watching the people go by. Kirovka is worth a quick walk-through even in the middle of winter. When the weather is warmer, it could be an excellent place to spend an afternoon. Leave a Comment
