Walking: Arbat area
To tell the truth, during this trip I got really too tired after sunset to look for any big night life activity.
I really walked too much during day to go look for dancing or else. The only way I loved to spend my evenings and early night, was staying around Arbat area, specially old Arbat walking and watching street artists performances. The are is also full of bars and restaurants so you can stop whenever you want. The new Arbat is also full of casinos if you want.

Walking and Dancing at the Riverside: Andreevsky brigde
Nowadays Moscow (the center of the city) looks beautiful at nighttime with a lot of fires colouring its historical and modern buildings, churches and bridges.
This place is known not only by people who like walking but also by dancers: during warm summer season there are open air parties taking place on the wooden grounds near the bridge. Swing dancers, tangeros, salsa dancers like coming here. In case, you are swing dancer and is going to come to Moscow at summer just write me and I'll send you the detailed schedule of all the events :)
Dress Code: In case you are going for a walk through the night Moscow take into account that it could be rather chilly at nighttime even during warm summer days.
In case you are going to dance at the open air party put on comfortable and suitable for dancing shoes (the floor at the grounds is wooden but rather rough). It's also better to put on a T-shirt (it's usually very warm while dancing) and to have a warm jacket with you to put on at night while staying between dances :)

Alexander Gardens: Spending Time in a City Square
If you're looking for a place to put in an evening, Alexander Gardens (as well as the neighbouring Manezhnaya Ploshchad) is perfect ~ there's peoplewatching, gardens and food & drink options galore.
This is a public square located south-west of the Hotel Moskva ~ it was incredibly popular throughout the day and night. Even into the late hours of the evening, we were pleased to find people socializing in this area.
There are patios, statues and fountains, lots of places to sit and a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Walking: Red Square at Night
Once dusk falls, Red Square is also worth wandering through, as atmospheric lighting has been set on several of the historical sights inside. This is the Resurrection Gate, a 1995 copy of the 1680 original. Although beautiful during the day (the mosaics on the south side of the gate are especially nice), it's a must-see in the evening as well.
Also located inside the Red Square, the Kazan Cathedral's colours are muted by nighttime lighting. . .the pink and white made much softer and more romantic.
There were people wandering in the area as late as we were there (which admittedly wasn't much past midnight); it always felt safe.

Walking: Moscow by Night
On our second tour in 1999 we took a stroll around the Red Square, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Illuminated St. Basil's Cathedral was so wonderful, I just could not keep my eyes from it!
I am not sure, if this is still possible, but if it is, don't miss an evening walk across the Red Square!

On a warm summer night, walk through Red Square and the Alexandinov Gardens. Russians flock to these areas and the sweet smell of flowers make for a romantic and beautiful evening.
Dress Code: Russians don't seem to like seeing men in shorts around these areas, but its not breaking any laws if you do.
Walking: Walk in the streets
Just walk along the streets of Moscow. At night they are even more colourful than in the daytime.
On the photo you can see one of Moscow Vysotkas caught with a web of trolleybus wires. :)))
Walking: Kilometre 0
Pres de la place rouge, ne manquez pas de poser votre pied sur le kilometre 0 (et de faire un voeux).

Moscow is very rich. Make a walk in the night, enjoy casinos and views, but take care of 'strange people', like robbers, homeless people, prostitutes (espesially on Tverskaya street).
