Young people in the streets would have offered you high prices, even in $ sometimes, to get these Coooool things ! - But controls when entering Leningrad had been strict, and could you have taken 3 yeans one over the other to get them out ?There was a certain market for western goods,althou it was not allowed to have foreign money - some people did not care at all.
