We easily spent over an hour walking through the grounds ~ and we didn't see all there is to see. You can follow maps in various guidebooks or, better yet, just dispense with any plan and take your pick of the many paths. . .they all seem to lead somewhere interesting. Leave a Comment

Pushkin is quite small and easily walkable, once you've made it to the town. Catherine Palace is probably the main draw, but we consider ourselves luckier to have made it to the Alexander Palace. . .
Although not as impressive from outside, Alexander Palace offers more historical and personal interest. . .I'd recommend visiting it first, then walking to Catherine Palace and touring the grounds and palace (if time allows). Leave a Comment

The grounds of the Catherine Palace are extensive and wonderful for wandering. There are pavilions, bridges, statues and pieces of interest every 500 metres (at least!).
I love Moorish architecture, so the Turkish Baths (1852) were a favourite of mine. . .I'm sure they would be even prettier on a sunnier day. Leave a Comment
