just walk along the beach....i was there in spring so there was still some ice. I can imagine that on hot summer days people go there for swimming

Just walk along the beach in Repino. I've been there in spring (beginning of may). There was still some ice at the beach and no chance for going swimming. I can imagine that on hot summer days the beach is crowded and people are swimming there.

The train to repino takes less than 1 hour and it leaves St. Petersburg at Finlandskj railwaystation. The trains leave quite frequent for russian conditions, but still it's better to check the timetable a day before the journey. Unless you might be stuck at finlandskj station for several hours.

Repino is easy to reach from St. Petersburg. Several rehabilitation centers are located in Repino. The beach is very nice and easy to reach by foot from the railwaystation.
