A nice place, opposite the American Consulate.

The food is good, its relaxed and friendly, good music.

Favorite Dish: I had a ham and cheese omlet.

I was not expecting what I got. A large omlet, toast and russian potatoes served with onions and mushrooms. - excellent value for money, recomend it.

The California fire grilled burger joint is in St. Petersburg. It opened it's first two restaurants in Russia in St. Petersburg in 2006 with plans to add 50 more over 8 years.

When you walk inthe door you get the same beef burger grill smell as in USA and the fare is almost the same, with a slightly reduced menu.

And it is one of the only places you can find self-refill drinks. Almost all restaurants in Russia including McDonalds, Pizza Hut, KFC Rostik's and Subway charge for refills.

About twice the price of McDonald's sandwich in Russia

One of the better Pizza places are the Pizza Huts. They are the American franchise made with local ingredients.

You can usually get an english language newspaper, the St. Petersburg Times there. It's free.

It is a bit more expensive than other pizza from Cafes, but less than some touristy spots trying to be trendy with pizza. So many cafes offer pizza now, it may become Russian cuisine soon!

Favorite Dish: Try Slavanskaya or supreme pizza

Happy hour between 17.00 - 19.00 hrs.
The staff are some of the most friendly that I came across within the city.

Open: daily, noon to midnight. Friday, Saturday, noon to 2 a.m.

Favorite Dish: The frozen margaritas. They come in original and strawberry flavours. I also enjoyed snacking on dishes of tortilla chips!

The Subway chain of fast foods is spreading in Russia.

It is about the same as American sandwiches with a few twists.
Instead of iceberg lettuce they use cabbage.
Also, they do not have yellow mustard. Some hot mustard or honey mustard is available.

Favorite Dish: Tuna sandwich without the "cabbage" lettuce

Favorite Dish: The dish with different kinds of meat. You can taste it.

The only reason I took this picture is because I thought this was a very interesting building for McDonalds. We didn't go inside because it was too busy.
