Mega Mall: Mega Mall, Best Shopping

Mega Mall is an all-in-one shopping store, it contains of a multiple shopping stores that provide continuous sales offers and hence you will find Mega mall to be continuously full of shopping lovers.

If you don't have a car, then you can use the Metro. You have to reach Dybenko station on Line 4. If you are on another metro line, you can switch to Line 4 on Ploschad (on line 3).

After getting out from Metro, you will find yellow buses with Mega logo, and they are for free, which will take you to Mega mall which resides out of the city. The same buses are available at Mega to take people from Mega to the Dybenko metro station. Note that Mega closes by 22.00 (some rumors said 23.00, but try to be in the safe side).

There are also some buses (not free) that takes you from Mega to some metro stations like dybenko or Maykovskya (this can save you switching the metro station).

Please take care that when you get out from Mega, and holding many goods (after shopping), you will have to face some difficulties if you don't have care, like The crowded Mega bus, the Dybenko metro station, and switching in the middle of the metro.

What to buy: Ashan shopping center is an ideal place for shopping lowest price goods, I really tries many other places, but Ashan is the lowest price.

There are many many types of chocolates in Ashan with lowest price, and hence it's ideal place for buying big-quantity. There are many chocolates in the range of 16, 18, 19, 22, 28, 33 rubs. It's also worth to get the popular Alenka chocolate for about 55 rubs. Milka is also good choice for about 90 rubs. Note that all these types exist in other places but for higher prices, at least 8-10 rubs higher and may be more.

I also found low cost perfumes, although they are not good quality, but good for quick souvenirs (for non-special persons). Perfumes in Ashan has prices of 80, 100, 120, 150, 250, 300 rubs (for both men and women). so, it's better to save money and buying such perfumes for normal friends, and buy a high quality perfume for special people from outside Ashan. Note that high quality perfumes may cost you about 3000-5000 rubs.

You may find low cost T-shirts for 200 rubs, which is good for personal use or low cost souvenirs.

Ashan also contains a section for sweets which enable you to buy sweets by weight, you pick a bag, fill it with sweet (note prices of different sweets are not the same), and then calculate cost based on weight. There are really variety of types of sweets, biscuits, gum, etc... Prices are very good.

I also saw a section for quick food, the smell was good, but I did't try it as I have bad food experience in Saint Petersburg (especially the Porch soap which was very bad !!!)

Media Market is also a good place in Mega mall, you will find all electronic stuff like mobiles, computers, DVDs, accessories, video games, etc.... However, I have the following concerns:
1- All stuff is in russian language, and so you may not be able to buy even simple things like DVDs or CDs containing games, movies or songs.
2- Prices are above the average, more than any European country.

What to pay: I went to Mega twice, and I paid about 1000-2000 rubs, I was focusing on things that I plan to present as souvenirs like chocolates, perfumes.
