Visit Peterhof (Petrodvorets) with its palace, huge gardens and its many fountains. Take a picnic and do it as a daytrip. There are restaurants there as well.

Peterhof or the Tsar's summer palace - make sure you arrive after 10 when the spectacular fountains (fed from the canals) are switched on!!!

Though not as famous as Peterhof, Pavlovsk boasts a wonderful park, too, though it is more in English style while peterhof is a typical french one.

This one is the finest and the best known palace near St. Petersburg. Looks like Versailles, but with English touches. Lots of fountains as well.
