Anywhere with local people: People in Irkutsk are friendlier than in Moscow
Be sure to meet some local people and go out with them for your evenings. The people in this part of Russia don't get so many tourists stopping in, and (in my experience) they are very friendly, and far less xenophobic than in the more populated western parts of Russia. In fact, I met many obnoxious people in St. Petersburg and Moscow, but everyone I met from Irkusk and areas near it was true-hearted and friendly. People are casual, but dress warmly.
