Glacier Terskol is similar from apart on a skin of a polar bear, hangs above the gorge by a 300-m block. Fine streams follow from under a glacier. Accepting inflows on the right and at the left, they give rise to the river Terskol.
To the left of a glacier with a roar Terskol's falls is broken from rocks one of the most beautiful in Prielbrusje.
A box of a falls is formed by sides of the close basalt colonnade of a volcanic origin.
"Terskol" (from Balkarian - "a wrong, curve beam"). Such name is connected obviously by that the gorge is deadlock without an exit in any other gorge.
The track goes along the river on the Alpine meadows. At the left the gorge is limited to steep basalt rocks. It is the southern spur of Elbrus having a volcanic origin, it divides glaciers Gara-Bachi and Terskol.
