One of the nicest outdoor restaurants in lovely green surroundings. Beautiful English pub atmosphere indoors. There´s another branch on Gorky Str 2 (on the backside of Epicentre mall in the old german building) though I haven´t visited it´s looks nice, also with the English pub atmosphere.
Very nice food, no English on the meny, but luckily photos of every dish. But it can still be a surprise - I got what I thought it was, but my wife got something she´s wasn´t prepared for...
They also serve very good beer on tap from a microbrewery! Öppet 09-20
Menu in English!! Good food, mixture of kitchen, I had some Asian dish. Great beer from their own microbrewery! Kalingrad is not flooded by restaurants with outdoor terasses, but this is one - with a great view of the huge Pobedy Square and the new impressive Russian Orhodox Cathedral
Favorite Dish: Some Asian food and it was really great!
A lovely tea house where you can choose to sit in the main room or in smaller cabins decorated in a beautiful oriental style. Small dishes, snacks, you can also buy tea. Frinedly service.
This house is actually the ONLY surviving old german house in this heavily bombed downtown area, where all other ruins have been replaced by drab 4-5 storey houses. I actually find an old photo taken just after the end of war and you can see this lonely house standing there unaffected among the ruins!
This is a small Kaliningrad chain of French cafes. It very cheap and all the pastries were fresh. Plus, the coffee was great and the breakfast was delicious and very generous. One is based on A. Nevskogo Ulitsa and another on Leninsky, but there are several more around the town.
A nice little cafe on one the main city streets running from the train/bus terminals to the city centre.
Good fresh coffee, cakes and ice cream for a little bit of indulgence. Nice big glass window look out onto the busy street we you can people watch and observe the Russian spectacle of trying to cross the road with getting hit by crazy drivers that don’t yield to pedestrians and if you make it passed them you still have to contend with trams, buses and mini buses. It is a good way to pass some time just to sit here and drink coffee while outside people scurry across a four sometimes six-lane road.
Favorite Dish: Double expresso, oh yes....
A new anâ modern restaurant with some English speaking Staff. Menus in Russian and English. This place offers a wide selection of good pizzas, pastas and also salads. Also on the menu are russian dishes and soups.
Expensive meal for Kaliningrad but worth trying once. Good selection of Wines, Beers and juices.
It has a non-smoking section as the rear of the resturant and the toliets and place in general is spotless and staff are attentive.
Favorite Dish: You must try the pizzas. A medium or small size will suffice most people.
Nice bar/restaurant at the Leninski Prospekt rather close to the Canal Bridge.
Bit posh public sits at tables with parasol and paying about €7.00 for a plate with one beer or wine.
Interior is decorated like a dark old-sailors bar - loads of ship equipment - bravo!
Favorite Dish: Russian young waitress came with Russian Menus - with a little help from a nice Russian Mobby we ordered 3 plates Steak with fries and got even mayo served.
Nice looking restaurant - you can eat your dinner in lifeboats hanging on the front of the restaurant, overlooking the busy street below. The interior is very nautical, lots of posters and picture, ships bells etc.
We went at lunchtime and were the only ones in the place so were served very promptly. The menu was typical Russian fare, and seemed very reasonably priced.
Favorite Dish: In my search to find the best plate of borsch in Russia, I was pleased with their efforts - could have been a little warmer, but still a good 7 out of 10.
A strange name for a Russian bar perhaps, but it is going for a British nautical style, with oak panelled walls and an array of shipping artefacts.
The pub is relatively small, but cosy and friendly with a decent sized menu of Russian and other eastern European meals. Also, excellent draught ales and beers are served, all at very reasonable prices.
Favorite Dish: The caper and tomato salad was fab, although maybe a bit too acidic for those who don't share my love of capers. The solianka (fabulous sour Russian soup) was the best I have had in a long time - that would bring me back again.
Extremely cosy inside the fort, old brick walls, candles. See this photo link: http://www.thg.ru/howto/kaliningrad_beer/kaliningrad_beer_screenshots_9_1.html
Cozy little cafe with relaxed atmosphere, a bit alternative, friendly stuff, good music, nice people, coffee, cakes and bowls of noodle soup.
Lovely cafe, where you can have a nice breakfast or ligther meals in the evening. Friendly Englísh speaking stuff, meny in English. Huge windows overlooking the Zoo opposite
Super trendy, bar-cafe, expensive, cool atmospher, photos of old Königsberg on the walls. Also out-door section overlooking a small park. On the side of Hotel Moskva
