You can have not only sunbaths and to swim at the beach in Svetlogorsk. While walking a little bit further from the main beach place to one or another edge you can find calm places without people and wonderful sights of a nature.

This is the landmark of Svetlogorsk from the "Rauschen time". It is built in "Jugendstil". The water tower is 25 m high and can be climbed.

You cannot walk very far out but still it's nice that there is one. It's a popular spot for visitors to have their photo taken and to watch what's going on on the beach.

There are lots of interesting buildings - style wise. Quite a few were built by the Germans. Just get off the main drag and explore the side streets.

This is a major attraction on the promenade. There are wide steps leading down to it from the town but there are currently closed due to major repairs.

The road down to the beach is quite steep. There is also a gondola but it wasn't running when I was there. It looks like it needs a good overhaul.

For a short stretch there is a promenade above the beach which has a restaurant and cafe, ice cream vendors and of course also souvenir vendors for amber.
