What to buy: Along the boulevard many are selling shells and other sea-animals to tourists. The seashells however were in majority shells that are nowhere to be found in the Black Sea! Most of them are from Pacific origine and have nothing to do. Some of them are even belonging to endangered species. The same is with dried seahorses that some try to sell. These little animals indeed live in the Black Sea, but belong to a endangered group that becomes more seldomly seen. So ... buying them means encouragement to catch the next load and if you know these little strange sea-inhabitants ... then you don't.
