In the central part of the town, near of Gorgippia museum, there is St Onufriy Church. It was built in 1837. I wasn't inside and don't know the details of the interior. I must say, it seems it is the only church in the town, at least, in the central part of the town. I saw some chapels around the town as well.

It is quite interesting to walk around the town. There are not much the sight-seeings but sometimes several buildings are very interesting in style. Every evening we did the walk along Lenin street where we lived.

The town embankment is the center of all attractions in the evening time. Here are a lot of cafes, restaurants and other places to entertain yourself. Besides it is just funny to walk to and back, looking at the tourists :-)

Summer theatre was very popular in the Soviet times when the season was over and many artists, actors and so on went to the Black Sea spa. The tourists liked it cause of the evenings in spa are quite the same day by day and the concerts gave something new. Besides the person from the town, let's say somewhere in Syberia, where the artists are very rare guests, could say after visiting the summer theatre in the spa town that he saw the famous person. That's why the Summer theatre is popular in such places like Anapa. I am sure the reason for the Summer Theatre is still the same.

Of course, the general reason to go to Anapa is the Black Sea shore. Most of times people spend in the beaches, taking the sun baths and swimming. There are different kinds of the beaches. Some days we spent in the sand ones but mostly we were in the stone ones.

Gorgippia was the town of Greeks in III BC - I AD. The remains was found in 30s of XX century. The museum is located in the central part of the town. It is the open air museum of the remains (unfortunately you can see it from special balcoons and can't go down to remains) and the museum building with different things that were found in excavations. The ticket is RUR 150 (EUR 4.1), in addition the photo ticket is RUR 40 (EUR 1.1).
Some photos of the necropolis are in the travelogue.

We spent a day in the central aquapark. It works 3 times per day: from 9 till 14, from 15 till 20 and from 21 to 24. The first and the second times are RUR 800 (EUR 22) and the night time is RUR 600 (EUR 17). The place is uite interesting and we spent nice time there.
There is as well another, so named "new" aquapark, but it is located quite far from the center and we didn't visit it.

From Sukko, Anapa you can get to Abrau-Durso. This was a Russian Tsar winery and now it is a big Russian winery.
If you take this tour you can rest at the Abrau-Durso lake, have a winary tour, and even visit the Tsar caves. There are a milions of bottles of vine and champagne are stored. You will be invited secret Tsar room and test a lot of sort of shampagne. Isn't it awesome?

Personally I like the sea from the mountains and just South of Anapa the Caucasus mountains strat rising up from the blue waters of the Black Sea. The further you turn South, the higher they will become, varieting from elegant bays to high and steap cliffs that hang over the water.
