The building of station is constructed under the project of the academician of architecture of Alexey Nikolaevicha Dushkina. railway station Sochi was open in September, 1952. In 1975 the Sochi railway station has been brought in number of monuments of architecture of local value and in the Red book of UNESCO. The building railway station has been recognized the most beautiful in Europe.

Famous comedy "the Diamond hand". Russian people know all monologues from this film and love it. The film was made in Baku and Sochi. Now for pleasure of tourists it is possible to make photos with favourite heroes of this comedy.

The most popular resort park of Sochi — "Riviera" — is based by the known businessman, the honourable citizen of Moscow V.A.Hludovym (1841-1913) in 1898. Before revolution this part of a city (right-bank the river of Sochi) and was called — as Hludovsky. The area of park of 14,2 hectares. In park there are numerous attractions, sports small town, library, a cinema, a reconciliation bench, Open-air theater where variety actors act. The main sight of park — a friendship Glade on which the magnolias planted by known politicians, cosmonauts grow. 45 Russian cosmonauts and the American astronauts were planted here by the trees. Among them G.Titov, V.Tereshkova, A.Leonov, V.Sevastyanov, Thomas Stafford, Donald Slejton. It is put on April, 27th 1960 (the first tree Otto Grotevol has planted).

1874-1891.Michael Arhangela's cathedral – the first orthodox temple in territory of the Black Sea district.It is built in memory of the termination of the Caucasian war (1864г.). It is named in honor Its Imperial Highness of Grand duke Michael Nikolaevicha Romanov, the Deputy of caucasus. With his direct instructions after visiting of the Black Sea district in May 1871г. cathedral begun to build

About 35 traffic-free minutes from Sochi port there is a Biosphere reserve. Our tour party from the ship consisted of mostly Americans and Mexicans who appreciated the oaks, the old yew, the mosses, lichens, hazels, beeches and so on.
It's a woodland walk ---but on concrete paths. You are not allowed to leave the path!
The guides: 'How old is this oak?' Guide 1 = about 600 years. Later, guide 2 = about 200 years!

You will possibly see a butterfly or hear some birds ---but the wildlife avoids the din caused by the tourists.

There is a museum (a few stuffed animals) and a small stall selling tat.
Would I go again? NO WAY!

Journalist Sergey Hudekovym promised to his wife a summer residence close to sea. he has bought a site of the ground about the Black sea and has constructed a summer residence and about the finest park with trees and bushes from all continents. Her name was Nadezda and residence has this name too.

The Sochi Tree nursery "Dendraruim" was based in 1892 by the Russian journalist Sergey Hudekovym and at that time was private park. Now, the area more than 49 hectares, it has contained in about 1600 forms and kinds of plants from all world. many people visit this park every days.
At the end of before last century there were local breeds and delivered of nurseries of the Black Sea coast, Caucasus and Crimea, later plants from the countries of the Mediterranean, mainly from coast of Ligurian sea.
Italian gardener Langau has created park in the mixed receptions of park architecture with prevalence of landscape style. Park decorated and decorate set of small architectural forms: ensembles "Morning", "Dancer", pools Central with cupids, with lilies. " the Boy with a fish ".......
