Favorite thing: All over town you will find Soviet architecture and monuments. When arriving by train it's worth having a quick look at this mosaic which is on a wall just outside the railway station to your right as you leave ie after coming down the staircase.
Favorite thing: This impressive bridge is the lifeline to the other part of the city on the opposite bank. You can take a marshrutka (minibus) to cross it. On the other side you will also see a tram line. On the city center side you will travel by mini buses or overcrowded trolleybuses which are full of pensioners. The Yenisey river is very wide and you can take a cruise in summer.
Favorite thing: When in Krasnoyarsk, don't miss this bridge over Yenisey river. If it looks familiar to you, it's because it is the very same bridge that you can see on the 10 rouble bill! The dam on the other side of the bill is also in Krasnoyarsk, see my must see activity tip!
Favorite thing: There is not too much pre-Soviet architecture left in the city center. One of the buildings is this concert hall or similar from 1913. In other parts there are also some wooden buildings left.
