honeymora Says: As a native from Lipetsk I believe everybody must go to the local theater located in a center part of Lipetsk across of street from City hall. We have world famous troop over there and I really enjoy their plays.Living in States I usually travel to NY and go on Broadway....
Pablos_new Says: This could be really "off the beaten path tip" as this building is situated far from main streets of Lipetsk. This is the only building that remained from monastery of XVI c., a seed from which town have started.
Pablos_new Says: "Petrovsky Spusk" is a long stairs going from Cathederal square down to the local Park. You can see monument to Lenin there. Old monument to Peter is just to the right from here.
Pablos_new Says: This is another monument to Peter the Great, but erected in XIX c. (small one). It stands between Upper Park and Lower Park near the road and it is hard to walk beside - only observe from opposite side of the street.
Pablos_new Says: Interesting modern monument to the founder of the city - Peter the Great. Not actually founder, but real social life and growth in the very small town of Lipetsk started after Piter's order to build here new Iron Works.

Facilities are very poor.Lift was not working, and we went to the 5th floor by stairs with our luggage. ;-(

Pablos_new Says: Very good quality of food and service for very low prices. Frankly speaking this is called a cafe, not restaurant, but I found no difference ;-) Very interesting interior decorations.P.S. Thanks to VTer maroh for remembering it's name ;-)

Pablos_new Says: This is very strange monument to the first commissars of Lipetsk (killed during the Civil War in 1920-s).One can see pipes and smokes of Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works right behind this small funeral orchestra. So, it could be called "Funerals of the Nature".Locals call...
Pablos_new Says: This funny signs are just beside "Petrovski spusk". Top sign shows the direction to the Holly Assumption Monastery, and bottom one states: "Right speed - guarantee of safety..."What does that mean? Who knows? ;-))))
