You will see lots of lovely datchas there and you will realize that the air is clean there and absolutely no other noises than nature and some birds singing...

Troitskoye on Ustra is a small village, where lots of people from Moscow have their datchas, a beautiful and peaceful area next to the "river Jordan" (It is the river Istra of course, but it is called "river Jordan" when it flows through the closeby monastery New Jerusalem in Istra)
Not far from the trainstation you will find an ancient wooden church, that is opened only 2 times each year for believers and it dates back to 1695. Opposite of it is an interesting baroque stonechurch, unfortunately it is normally locked during the day, but Sergey has some pics of its interior in his Troitska-page.

Interiors of new church are magnificent. I visited it at Christmas 2006. This day I have felt a special kind atmosphere of rural church!

There is a direct trainline from Moscow and "Electritshka" is the name of this electrified trainline. Sergey was waiting for me at the metrostation "Wojkowskaja", that is the 2nd last but one station at the northern end of the green metroline (Nr.2)
From that metro-station you have to walk a few minutes to get to the Electritshka-station, called "Leningradskaja".
The train to Troiskaja takes a bit more than 60 minutes and not every train will stop there. The trains are mostly quite simple, the station where you have to get out is called "Troiskaja".
Be aware that this train might be full early in the mornings of Saturday and then again late in the afternoon of sundays, with thousands of people coming home from their datchas !
