Une scène de rue typique dans les pays de l'Est (Ex-URSS).
Les babouchki qui vendent les produits de leur jardin dans la rue (été comme hivers), et les kioskes où l'on peut trouver différentes choses (journaux, cigarettes, et aussi dans d'autres : glaces, boissons...)

Comme à Moscou, Novosibirsk avait un grand magasin : le Goum... jusqu'à l'incendie où il a été entièrement détruit, et jamais reconstruit...
Désormais, de nouveau magasins, modernes fleurissent partout en vile, des supermarchés, de boutiques de luxe...

En été, babouchki et dedouchki (grands-mères et grand-pères) envahissent les trottoirs avec les produits de leur jardin, ou de leur datcha (campagne). De la production locale pour la grande majorité, mais on trouve aussi des productions amenées ici par des kazaks ou des habitants des montagnes.

In summer, babouchki and dedouchki (grandmothers and grandfathers) invade the sidewalks with the products of their garden, or of their datcha (country). Of the local production for the big majority, but one also finds productions brought here by kazaks or the inhabitants of the mountains.
